Dubai, December 2021:

Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has signed a memorandum of understanding with SHL Global, to launch the largest career guidance initiative for talented graduates of the nation, with the aim to promote national talent and supporting Emirati job seekers, in conjunction with the UAE’s golden jubilee year and celebrations.

The MoU was signed by His H.E. Abdulla Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General - DGHR Department, and Mr. Mohamed Farid, Managing Director of SHL, the largest global company deploying advanced AI technology and deep people science to human capital management and development.

H.E. Abdulla Al Falasi stressed that the MoU with SHL will support Dubai government and DGHR’s efforts aimed at qualifying national youth capabilities, making Emirati talent aware of their capabilities and skills, and providing them with the right guidance to develop their capabilities and skills to excel in labor market.

He said that UAE in general, and Dubai in particular, pays great attention to the importance of talent, and is keen to invest in the development of human resources. In this direction, DGHR is developing educational plans suitable for every job seeker’s personal skills, and the nature of job that they want to take up in the future.

“DGHR is always keen to cooperate with prestigious entities and institutions to develop plans, strategies, and educational and training programs that discover and develop talent. DGHR’s objective is to achieve the leadership’s vision that aspires to create lifelong education programs so that UAE nationals can constantly develop their abilities and skills to keep abreast with the fast-changing world.” H.E. Abdulla Al Falasi added.

Mr. Mohamed Farid, Managing Director of SHL, stressed the importance of cooperation with DGHR to support and empower national talent. He also expressed his happiness with this partnership, which coincides with UAE’s golden jubilee, a moment to celebrate UAE’s achievements and development over the past fifty years.

He said that SHL will draw on its capabilities, tools, and techniques to serve DGHR’s plans and strategies, aiming to assess the capabilities and potential of young national talent and train the future generation of leaders to succeed in the labor market across various sectors.

After completing the project, an analytical study on young national talent will be conducted by SHL and presented to DGHR, to provide objective data that enables a deeper understanding of their capabilities to develop and train them for a promising career future. The deliverables of this study will be harnessed to achieve the objectives of the UAE government, which is keen to discover and develop young talent from graduates of universities, colleges, and academic institutions across UAE.
